Postdoc Positions Available

Postdoctoral positions are available in Xiao-Jing Wang's research group (see our homepage) at the Department of Neurobiology and Kavli Institute for Neuroscience, Yale University School of Medicine. Successful candidates are expected to play an active and independent role in one of our research areas. Our work focuses on the cellular and synaptic mechanisms of working memory, decision making and the role of prefrontal cortex in cognition. We emphasize close collaborations with experimental laboratories.

Candidates with a PhD in neuroscience or physical sciences, and with strong background and interest in quantitative approaches to neurobiology, are encouraged to apply. Please send me a curriculum vitae and a brief description of fields of interest, and have three letters of recommendation sent to the following address. Whenever possible, please send materials by email.

Graduate Positions Available

We are recruiting motivated and talented students who wish to pursue PhD in Computational Neuroscience, an interdisciplinary field dedicated to understanding how the brain works using quantitative approaches (physics, engineering, mathematics). Students will have access to rigorous training within the framework of BBS and the Swartz Initiative in Theoretical Neurobiology at Yale. They will have opportunity to undertake research at the cutting edge in collaboration between our theoretical lab and experimental labs. If you are interested, please contact Professor Wang by email.
